Clinical Supervision

I believe in the importance of clinical supervision and want to ensure this space is accessible to folks in Idaho. For this reason, I have adopted a sliding scale approach to supervision rates. I understand folks are in various stages of their journey and thus have varying capacities to pay for clinical supervision. Your rate for supervision will be chosen by you and is based on what is manageable for you given your specific needs and obligations. You are welcome to change this rate as your circumstances change.

$60-$90/hour for Individual Clinical Supervision

$35-$65/person/hour for Group Clinical Supervision (up to 2 supervisees)

Interns working through Roots and Wings Counseling receive weekly supervision FREE.

Theoretical Orientation & Supervision Style

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been practicing therapy since 2011. I have a wide range of experiences as I have worked most with community-based agencies and non-profits. My counseling is rooted in Adlerian, Narrative and Feminist Theory. These approaches to counseling focus on connection and the impact of societal norms in shaping a person's identity. In these theories, the therapeutic relationship is based on genuine connection and equity between the therapist and the client.

My orientation as a supervisor is much the same. My goal is to empower you to make your own choices with confidence, set clear and firm boundaries with your clients as needed and to support you in finding interventions that will prove helpful in your sessions. I believe firmly in the need for good work-life balance and for the need for counselors to gain mastery in their own self-care so I will check in periodically about your progress in this area. I also believe that supervision is about addressing the supervisee’s biases, blind-spots and areas of discomfort in order to strengthen their ability to support and hold space for clients. This will be an area of exploration for us in supervision.

Upcoming Groups and Trainings

Parenting with Mental Health in Mind

Parenting is such a vulnerable role and can leave us feeling unsure and worried about how we engaged with our children. Parenting classes are designed to support parents in learning respectful discipline strategies in order to promote children’s mental health and connection between caregiver and child. This format will allow parents to ask questions as needed and to learn from fellow caregivers.

For 1 hour per week, caregivers will learn parenting strategies that will foster connection and build trust between the child and caregiver. These interventions are trauma-informed and focus on the mental health of both caregivers and children.  This course includes:
